SAILING & DIVING EXPERIENCE IONIAN ROUTE

Itinerary Corfu – Corfu (flying into Corfu island International Airport)

Gouvia (Corfu Isle) – Kassiopi (Corfu Isle) - Palaiokastritsa (Corfu Isle)– Paxos– Syvota(mainland) – Corfu

TRIP SCHEDULE

1st Day Saturday: Arrival to Corfu, embarkation in Gouvia marina, welcome drink, Sailing to Kassiopi , Overnight.

2nd Day Sunday: Briefing by the diving instructor , trial of diving suits & equipment. Diving in the islands of Erikousa & Othoni. Sailing to Paleokastritsa.

3rd Day Monday: Briefing by the diving instructor, Diving in the West part of Corfu, Sailing to Paxi.

4th Day Tuesday: Briefing, Diving in Paxos island, Overnight.

5th Day Wednesday: Diving in Anti Paxos, Sailing to Syvota, overnight.

6th Day Thursday: Briefing, Diving in Syvota, Overnight.

7th Day Friday: Sailing back to Corfu.

8th Day Saturday : Check-out, Departure.

Included:

• Yacht charter fee – use of the yacht and its equipment.
• Skipper's fee.
• Fuel of the trip.
• Bed and bath linens
• Yacht provisions (bottled water, bath soaps, kitchen items)
• Breakfast and light lunch with beverage (fruit juice or cola) served onboard.
• Transfers from and to the airport with private mini buses.
• 5 days of diving - 2 dives per day, total 10 dives.
• Diving equipment (rental)
• Divers' personal insurance

Not included:

• Dinner and any other meals except breakfast and lunch.
• Alcoholic drinks
• Land excursions and related transfers (other than the mentioned above)

NOTES

• All dives are being done under supervision and attendance of at least 2 professional, certified divers.
• Diving services are offered by clubs and schools properly licensed by the Greek state.
• Beginners are accepted at same rates.
• Maximum number of divers per dive: 12
• Program Period: May to October 2010, August only on request.
• Schedule and choice of diving sites subject to change according to weather conditions and guests' diving experience.

Indicative diving sites

Nissopoulo
A wreck of an ancient ship lies at a depth of 26 m. The sea bed is littered with ancient artifacts amphorae, anchors, etc. The area is a home to some large groupers and other marine life.

Barbaro Caves
This area is famous for the rock formations – several caves and swim throughs that are situated at relatively shallow depth. The spot is exposed to strong currents.

Colovri
The most famous and beautiful dive site in Corfu. An island of 2000 square meters in the middle of nowhere with chaotic depth around it. Place where you can dive 3 or 4 times at a different diving spot each time and you will still want to dive again. Numerous fish of different kind's shrimps, lobsters, groupers, barracudas are some of the fish you can see during this dive.

The Wreck
A Second World War commercial steam-ship that crushed onto the rocks. Last minute it released all the anchor and chain in order to stop the inevitable. The back part of the wreck lies at 50m-60m but the front one is more reachable beginning from the 25m going down to 42m. A dive you will never forget.

The Hole of Ha
A cave which goes inside the mountain, you surface and looking up, you can see the sky and the trees from the hole that is created in the mountain. The sunlight creates an amazing blue colors that makes the dive unforgettable. Only for speleologists the cave goes down to 25 m a narrow passage, which needs a lot of experience to explore it.

Poseidon Gate
This is a multi-level dive with maximum depth of 15 m. The main attractions include unique rock formations such as caverns and swim throughs, as well as rich sea life – octopi, morays, and barracudas.

All yachts offer double cabins With WC & shower facilities, are equipped with kitchen utensils bed & bath linens and necessary provisions for live-in.
